Description

I made this as conceptart for a webcomic I've been working on for quite a while now.
------
"Slowly the ancient being rises from the mist to face whoever awoke it from its slumber..."

Redarm Muhr, captain of the guard, faces one of the few elemental behemoths still in existence.
Surely a battle he cannot hope to win.
-----
This took two seperate drawings and about 2 days worth of Photoshop work.

tahts soo cool but the transition from the mountain to the figure on top of it really sticks out... doesn't fade together well but ya, good job! like the concept +4

I like the perspective and the comic feel of this work. I'd like to see maybe a bit harsher snow storm going on. Keep it up. +4

Thanx guys.

ZiN: sorry, but I'd rather not post the full res version.. its 300dpi at a3 format... so thats kinda big. Got to mind the webspace

Simplistic: I deliberatly made the transition of the mountain like this and not faded into the giant, because if he'd stand on even ground with the warrior, the giant should be even longer... and that didn't fit on my page.
So right now hes just behind a ridge or whatever you'd like to call it.

The Dwarf looks like he comes straight from a D&D game, Cool +5!!!

bigrod: thx. Haha, yes, im a myth player
Got all 3 games. played it since The Fallen Lords came out.
This has noting to do with Myth, though now you mention it, it does look like the Trow coming out of the snowstorm in the "Bagrada" cutscene.

AeKaBeer: glad you like it, thx for the vote.. but thats not a dwarf heeheeh

I would love to know the story behind this. What led the captain to this ancient place? Why must he face this impossible obstacle, a guardian that seems unable to know defeat? Maybe someday we will know. I love it!
